'Kuaotunu Bay', Is a really pretty stretch of the coast I encountered along the drive from Coromandel township to Whitianga, on the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand.

I love the light in this work and the beautiful energy of this landscape. In particular, the myriad variety of rich and subtle greens really spoke to me.

You may have noticed, weaving through the painting, I have incorporated some Maori symbols into the sky and the earth. ⁠ ⁠
