It has been a busy month in the studio this September, even though I was sick for one and a half weeks!
There was a lot of excitement at the art school, when two of my students were placed in the Grandma Moses competition. Congratulations to Rose Youlten, who took out the novice award,
And Gilta Ricotta who received a highly commended for her portrait painting.
I also have had some successes with two painting sales this month, a small rose painting which sold in the annual 20x20 exhibition. This was held at the community gallery in East Gosford this year. Twenty percent of the proceeds from painting sales in this exhibition, go towards supporting the arts programme at Gosford hospital.
Below is the other work that sold, I was however, sad to see it go. Nevertheless it is in a lovely new home now down in Victoria.
The other highlight for me this month was to be chosen as a finalist in the Hornsby Art Prize with my painting - Beauty Revealed.
