This year 908 entries were received from across Australia, with 135 of the artworks selected as finalists for exhibition, making it a difficult job for both the selection panel and finalist judges, which comprised artist Peter Godwin and curator Libby Knott.
The grand prize of $15,000 was awarded to Maree Azzopardi from The Entrance for her compelling artwork titled "The Crossings". Azzopardi's piece, captivated the judges with its depth and artistic merit.

One of my favourites is a work done by artist Judith Price. It is a mosaic composed entirely of bread tags, titled 'Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread'
