Restless Sea

This work, like the previous one is at Matheson Bay, north of Auckland in New Zealand.  Where as the other work was calm and restful, this one has restless little waves, constatnly lapping in towards the shore.

There is still the counterpoint of the pale pink sky with the gorgeous aquas of the water below it. It is just on sunset, very late in the afternoon when there is the slightest hint of colour change in the sky.

The foreground Pohutakawa tree offers rich browns against the pale aqua skyAgain there is  the faintest hint of the island far out at sea, almost entirely hidden by the clouds. This of course sparks my interest in mystery and hidden things.
