This painting is actually just around the corner from my previous landscape -'Kuaotunu Bay'. It is near Rings Beach and just up the road from Kuaotunu township, a pretty coastal village.

I expect you will be seeing more paintings of this area as I love the palette of fresh colours which were such a relief to my senses the last time I was here.  I had come from the fire-ravaged land of the Australian East coast where the skies were filled with smoke for weeks on end. We had to stay inside as outside the air was almost unbreathable.  Being here was a balm to my fire weary soul.
